Collete Davis Urges Girls to Rev Up Their Brain Power
When you meet Collete Davis — all 5’3”, 105 pounds of her with blond hair and a big smile — you may think “cheerleader” (used to be) or “sorority girl” (accurate!). And if you let looks trigger stereotypes, you may also be tempted to use small words and keep your conversation simple.
Mistake.
Keep your words small if you like, but you’ll be talking to someone who is fluent in such things as calculus, linear algebra and differential geometry. Oh and feel free to work in some chit-chat about kinematics, physics, pneumatics and micrometers as well.
Collete Davis, the 21st Woman of pressdog®, has some eyebrow-raising academic bone fides. She skipped sixth grade entirely, graduated from high school two years early and won a $40,000 National Science Foundation scholarship to attend renowned Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University — is all. At age 18, Collete is already a sophomore at Embry-Riddle.
Clearly, this petite blond teenager can deliver a serious and sustained beat down in the science classroom. Not only that, but she’s also urging other girls to plunge full-throttle into math and sciences.
More Estrogen in Engineering
If you think females race car drivers are rare, check out the nearest college of engineering. There are eight male students for every one female student at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, a lopsided ratio that plays out repeatedly at similar universities.
In an effort to address the disparity, Embry-Riddle helped sponsor Collete last season and made her a student ambassador who went to middle schools and urged female students to embrace their brain power.
“The biggest thing is kids having the whole ‘you’re a nerd’ perception or ‘Oh my gosh. You like math? You’re so smart. That’s not cool,’ ” said Collete. “So I was letting them know it’s OK. You’re not weird. A ‘look-at-me’ type thing, and that really helps them.”
Collete says there are a lot of similarities between the “women can’t race cars” and “women can’t be scientists” stereotypes. And since so much of racing is science and engineering, her combination of science brain and racing passion gives Collete an opportunity to blow up two stereotypes at once.
“I spoke to middle school girls obviously about my racing, but also how that ties in to engineering” she said. “I think the biggest thing is that there are always misconceptions about engineering. When you think of an engineer — at least for me when I was younger — the first thing that came to my mind was a guy in a white lab coat sitting at a computer. Just boring, or ‘nerds,’ basically. The biggest thing for me is breaking that mental image and being like, ‘look, no, it’s not true.’ What I love about engineering is you can make it what you want it to be. If you want to sit at home and look at a computer and design a car part, that’s fine. But if you want to be at the race track and working on a car, engineering applies there too.
“There’s engineering in every aspect of life. Showing them that it’s OK to be smart and to like math and science as a female, I think that’s important. A lot of girls would come up to me afterwards and say ‘Wow I didn’t know girls could like this’ and they were so cute. Most people don’t realize it’s an issue, but it really is.”
Collete’s version of engineering has been very hands-on so far. Credit her natural curiosity and high school vocational technology teacher.
“I was a weird child,” she said with a laugh. “I wanted to know how they (engines) worked so I took a vo-tech (vocational technology) class where they taught us about cars and basic maintenance on cars (she was the only female student). They told us that a lawn mower engine is pretty much a replica of a car engine but with just with one piston. So I started taking apart a lawn mower engine and rebuilding it and eventually moved on to car engines.”
Karting, the Gateway Racing Drug
At age 13 while living with her grandmother and grandfather, Susan and Shannon Davis, in Colorado Springs, Collete discovered karting. Soon they had a acquired a kart with Shannon serving as crew chief.
“Even in go-karting nobody wants to tell you their secrets,” she said, “so it was just me and my grandpa trying to work on my kart and learning everything right out of the box. But it was a really good time.”
Races wins and a championship followed and the hook was set. As Collete’s passion for racing hit the rev limiter, she dramatically accelerated her academic career.
“During my last year of high school, I went to school (at Fountain-Fort Carson High School) half a day, and then my school actually paid for me to take credits for my associates degree in automotive service technology (at nearby Pikes Peak Community College). So I would leave high school at noon and go the local community college and work on cars for four hours straight Monday through Thursday. It was fantastic,” Collete said.
Collete said she was driven to graduate from high school early primary by a passion to get on with her racing career, which started with a same-place-at-the-same-time brush with the most famous woman in racing.
“I didn’t see the point of having another year of high school when I could get a head start on my degree and move to a state where my racing career could grow,” she said. “Colorado was great for karting, but I wanted to take steps towards car racing and knew my chances of success were much greater if I moved to Florida. In order to do that, I needed to graduate from high school.
“My grandpa showed me Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach that had a degree for Mechanical Engineering on High Performance Vehicles. I visited the campus February 2010, the weekend another Woman of pressdog, Danica Patrick, made her debut in ARCA at Daytona Speedway. I went to the races, visited campus and knew I had to go here. Not to mention the campus is right next to the speedway. Racing motivated me and has inspired so many choices and decisions in my life. I wouldn’t have it any other way. I love what I do and have the passion and tenacity to keep pursuing it in full force.”
Pro Debut and Woman of pressdog Bonding
Davis continued to work her racing career with a savvy array of marketing tools while taking her brain-bending load of engineering classes at Embry-Riddle. Eventually she got noticed by Glass Hammer Racing, which sponsored Collete in her professional debut with USF2000 at Sebring and then St. Petersburg on March 24.
Collete worked her way to P5 in the National class in the first race at St. Pete before getting punted by a faster Championship class car. A rookie mistake under yellow during her second led to a DNF.
At St. Pete, Collete also got an assist from another Woman of pressdog, Pippa Mann, who offered advice and support throughout the weekend.
“Pippa helped out so much. I absolutely loved working with her,” said Collete. “Everything just clicked and it was just awesome. It was both on and off track. On the first day, when we first met, I was flying around like crazy. I had to do all these interviews and she could just tell that I was unorganized. She made me sit down and was like ‘No, before you do anything you come here and sit down and we’re going to write out a time management sheet.’ I said, ‘Oh my gosh, I love you right now.’ It was just what I needed.”
Pippa said she saw both improvement and potential during the weekend.
“St Pete was actually my first time coaching another driver,” said Pippa. “Collete listened, worked hard, and made sizable gains out on track. Her braking improved in the areas I could see, and she improved when around the championship class traffic dramatically. Seeing the times come down on the watch, and literally, visually seeing her improving lap after lap in front of me was extremely rewarding.
“Right now I would love go see Collete get some more testing and seat time. Trying to get enough track time on a race weekend to really learn a car, on new tracks and under that much pressure is incredibly difficult. I would love to see her really get the chance to dig into her potential, and come back out fighting for more races later this year.”
Collete says her strengths are being able to be “aggressive and smart at the same time.”
“The biggest thing that hit home for me with what Pippa told me was that while I’m learning a new car I need to not so much focus on trusting the car, but trusting myself,” said Collete. “Mainly trusting myself to be able to push the car and test my own limits. Especially in racing, you have to be able to continuously test yourself both mentally and physically.”
Finding The Next Ride
So far acing mental tests hasn’t been an issue for Collete Davis, nor has a lack of tenacity in chasing her goals. So what’s next?
“That is always the golden question isn’t it? I’m trying to put together what the rest of my schedule looks like now.” Collete said she’s exploring various options in the USF2000-level cars. “It really could go any direction right now. I’m trying to figure that out myself.”
Until then she’ll continue working at racing and engineering while being walking stereotype destroyer.
“At first (when people hear she’s a race car driver) people give me a weird look and they are like ‘ohhhh no, no,’” said Davis. “But I get the same reaction when people hear I go to school for engineering. I think it’s cool that if you looked at me or met me, it probably wouldn’t be the first thing you thought of. But once they realize how much of my life revolves round racing — which is like 110% — then they are like ‘OK, I can see it now.’”
—
Collete thanks Glass Hammer Racing (BeatByAGirl.org) and Tom Keiser from Global Emergency Products for their support, as well as the One Formula Racing team — Steve Stadel, Dennis, Bryan, and Kevin — and Pippa Mann for “her time, advice, motivation as a driver coach, mentor, and ‘official big sister.’”

St. Petersburg, FL (April 4th, 2012) Collete Davis competed in her first street race last week at the Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg in the 2012 Cooper Tires Presents USF2000 National Championship Powered by Mazda. She was racing the #77 Global Emergency Products-BeatByAGirl.org Formula Enterprise car in the National Class of a 34 car field.
Collete worked her way to P5 in class in the first race at St. Pete before getting punted in a high speed corner by a Championship class car.
“I felt fantastic in Race 1 and we were running with the Top 5 guys my second weekend in the car. We were catching 4th place when I got punted by a Championship class car and got sent into the wall. It was extremely disappointing to have our race end early with only 2 laps to go having passed 10 cars and working our way up the field, but that’s racing. Just have to stay positive and take it as a learning experience.”
Coached and mentored by her team, One Formula Racing, and IndyCar driver, Pippa Mann, Davis took in multiple lessons not only learning her first street racing course, but also adjusting to the new car.
The only female driver competing in the National class of the USF2000 National Championship Series, Collete continued to improve her lap times every session as she adjusted to the new car, series and track. Her fastest lap of the weekend came under racing conditions during Race 1 in heavy traffic.
“Right now I would love go see Collete get some more testing and seat time,” says mentor Pippa Mann, “Trying to get enough track time on a race weekend to really learn a car, on new tracks and under that much pressure is incredibly difficult. I would love to see her really get the chance to dig into her potential, and come back out fighting for more races later this year.”
“The biggest thing that hit home for me with what Pippa told me was that while I’m learning a new car I need to not so much focus on trusting the car, but trusting myself,” said Collete. “Mainly trusting myself to be able to push the car and test my own limits. Especially in racing, you have to be able to continuously test yourself both mentally and physically. I’m focused on working hard on getting back in a car for the rest of the 2012 season and beyond.“

DAVIS HAS SUCCESSFUL USF2000 SEBRING PRO DEBUT
Sebring, FL (March 17,2012) 18 year old rookie, Collete Davis, made her pro debut in motorsports this week competing in the National Class in the 2012 Cooper Tires Presents the USF2000 National Championship Powered by Mazda record-setting field of 36 cars for rounds 1 and 2 at Sebring International Raceway in support of the 60th Annual Mobile 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring.
“I had a really good experience in my first race weekend with the USF2000 National Championship Series. I can’t thank BeatByAGirl.org enough for giving me the opportunity to race at the professional level for the first time. Going into the weekend I knew I had a lot to learn—this being my first FE race weekend and only second time in the car coming from racing a Pro Challenge Mustang last year. I had to adapt and fast. The One Formula Racing team did an awesome job working with me and helping me learn about the car and it’s handling and characteristics. We had a fuel system issue early on in the week but the team did an amazing job getting the #77 BeatByAGirl.org-Global Emergency Products Formula Enterprise back on track.”
Davis qualified the #77 BeatByAGirl.org-Global Emergency Products Formula Enterprise car P12 in class after a spring broke in the shifter. She managed to secure a Top 10 in her first pro race, working her way up to P7 (P6 of FE cars) in the caution-filled Race 1 with only 4 green laps.
In Race 2 Davis managed to finish P11 and P9 out of the FE cars.
“I felt great in Race 2 and was faster than I had been all week. I made a couple passes in T17 and was feeling a lot better in the car and was racing mid-pack when I fell behind after a spin at the bump in T17. I was able to keep the car off the wall but wasn’t able to restart it on track, putting me 2 laps down. After getting the car restarted in the pits, I was able to get back on track and finish my 1st pro race weekend with the car in one-piece. Unfortunately, there wasn’t anymore green flag racing for the remainder of race 2 and I finished up P11 and P9 out of the FE cars.”
Davis ran mid-pack in both of her first pro races in the highly competitive USF2000 field. She will continue her learning curve in Rounds 3 & 4 of the 2012 Cooper Tires Presents the USF2000 National Championship Powered by Mazda this coming week in St. Petersburg, FL, in support of the IZOD IndyCar Series’ Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg.
“Using data it’s clear that the speed is there to compete up front—it’s just a matter of putting it all together now. I’ve learned so much in my first weekend of racing the car and cannot wait until the Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg! I have to thank my sponsors BeatByAGirl.org, Global Emergency Products, and Temco Machinery Inc. for their support! Without their support this weekend would not have been possible! I also have to thank my team-Steve, Dennis, and Bryan-for all of their hard work, Chase Navarre from Alex Job Racing, Ed Zabinski from Level 5 Motorsports and Gerardo Bonilla from USF2000, for their help and advice over the course of the weekend and of course my family for their continued support!”
Collete will be on track Thursday, March 22nd at 5:35 p.m. EDT for official practice for the Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg. Follow live Timing & Scoring at USF2000.com.

COLLETE DAVIS TO MAKE DEBUT ON MAZDA ROAD TO INDY WITH BEATBYAGIRL.ORG AND ONE FORMULA RACING
INDIANAPOLIS, IN, March 1st, 2012 – Glass Hammer Racing, LLC, (http://www.beatbyagirl.org) and Collete Davis announced today a sponsorship that will give Davis the opportunity to compete in the Mazda Road to Indy ladder series in both the Sebring season opener and the St. Pete GP races.
“Words can’t describe how grateful I am to have this opportunity from Glass Hammer Racing to compete on a national platform against some of the best up-and-coming drivers in the world with the One Formula Racing team. IndyCar is my goal and I’m excited to take the first steps towards that goal next month at Sebring.”
“GHR is delighted to announce that Collete is the first driver we are supporting in the 2012 season,” said Gregory Gaich, founder and owner of Glass Hammer Racing. “She’s equal parts dedicated racer, stellar student, and tireless advocate for young women. While she hasn’t had as many opportunities to race as many she’ll be competing against, she’s made the most of every experience and we look forward to seeing her demonstrate her talent in open wheel racing for the first time.
“Collete instructed the novice class at our GHR Experience karting course in October. She was a natural with the kids and will be a great addition to our instructor corps,” Gaich added. “She’s also brimming with ideas about how to use racing to enhance the lives of young women, particularly those who have had a tough start in life.”
In addition to her driving and instructing duties, Davis will also be responsible for developing a Junior Racer Mentor Program that will match up young girls interested in starting racing with established female racers and role models in their area. It is one of the many great projects that GHR has had on its to-do list and they are delighted to have Collete move it forward.
“I contacted Glass Hammer Racing last January because I thought what they were doing was really awesome and to offer to help in anyway,” said Davis. “After staying in contact with Greg for the past year, I was given the opportunity to become an official GHR instructor last August and I am looking forward to representing GHR even further both on and off the race track in 2012 with our new partnership. I had a blast teaching the girls in the GHR Experience Class to drive a kart and race for the first time; Introducing more girls to racing will definitely be a key part of working with GHR. Racing has done so much for me growing up and I hope I can pass that on to other young girls.”
Fueled by her competitive nature, desire to win and passion for the motorsports industry, Collete plans on making 2012 her biggest year yet. After a successful 2011 season racing a Pro Challenge Mustang sponsored by her University, she placed 2nd in the overall Championship, even without being able to compete in all of the races throughout the year due to funding. Her 4 wins and 2 poles gave her enough points to secure the spot of Championship-runner up.
“Collete has been working extremely hard the past year and a half to put this together and we’re happy to see her run with One Formula Racing. She’s gathered experience through SCCA racing the past year, and will now be making a big step up to the Mazda Road to Indy in the USF2000 National class. Collete’s hard work and dedication will put her in a good position to improve every single time out, and we look forward to watching her grow throughout the season.” –Anders Krohn (Grand-Am/Indy Lights Driver, ABK Sports Management)
In addition to racing and being a full time Mechanical Engineering student, Collete takes upon an active role in promoting STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) careers in middle school kids. She speaks with many middle schools-specifically the girls-about futures in STEM careers and how fun & diverse these careers can be!
Davis will be the youngest female driver racing in any rung of IndyCar’s development ladder series.
“My goal is to race and win on the Mazda Road to Indy to ultimately race in the IZOD IndyCar Series. I’m focused on developing myself as a driver and making the most out of every opportunity to do so. I know the changes from racing the Mustang to an open-wheel racecar are going to be huge and I’ll have a lot to learn my first weekend in the car. I can’t wait to work with One Formula Racing and look forward to seeing how much we can learn and adapt over the course of the first race weekend to make the most out of this amazing opportunity with Glass Hammer Racing and the One Formula Racing team.”

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
DAVIS FINDS SUCCESS AT HOMESTEAD-MIAMI SPEEDWAY IN FIRST NATIONAL RACE
Daytona Beach, FL (Jan. 17th, 2012) – Davis competed in not only her first National race this past weekend, but also her first race in an F2000 racecar. By the end of the 3-day race weekend, Davis was in competitive top 3 times and secured a top 5 finish in her class in a field of over 30 cars.
“Going into not only my first National race, but also my first time ever in an F2000 race car on a big track, I knew there was a lot to learn and little time to get myself up to speed and familiar with the characteristics of the car.” said Davis, “ ZSports Midwest did an awesome job working with me and getting me comfortable with the new car, new track, and new levels of competition. We had a battle going for 3rd when we lost some ground in traffic and had to settle for a top 5. The fact that we were in the position to fight for a podium finish my first time in the car shows the progress we had over the course of the weekend and I’m really happy with our results. I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity I was given and had a blast racing the #41 ZSports Midwest Maddox Construction-BeatByAGirl.org F2000 race car.”
Although, no plans have yet been announced on what the future looks like for this 18 year old up-and-coming race car driver, one can surely tell her future in racing is a bright one.
Collete Davis is currently competing in Champion Auto Parts “Search for A Champion” contest where she could win a 50k sponsorship from Champion to help advance her career on the road to racing in the IZOD IndyCar Series. Standing 5’3” tall and weighing a little over one hundred pounds, 17-year-old Collete Davis has never let her petite size dictate the scope or size of her dreams. Her dreams are big and she is on the fast track to finding them. A double win at Sebring International Raceway last weekend brings Collete Davis one-step closer to embracing those dreams of pursuing a professional career in motorsports.
Davis has always been on the fast track, whether racing cars and karts or pursuing educational accomplishments. She graduated from high school at the age of sixteen (having skipped sixth grade entirely) with a full sixteen credits of college courses under her belt. Currently, at the tender age of seventeen, Davis is a sophomore at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, studying mechanical engineering on high performance vehicles. Her college education is paid for in part by a $40,000 S-STEM scholarship from the National Science Foundation.
Though racing karts and understanding the mechanics of fast motors has and is Davis’s greatest passion, she has participated and excelled in competitive sports since she was seven years old (basketball, soccer, softball, volleyball, cross country and even competitive cheerleading). She won her class Championship at IMI Motorsports complex at Dacono, Colorado at age 15, earning the title of World Formula Champion.

Avion, the official Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University weekly publication, publishes a press release about Collete Davis-
It is a calm morning; the sun has come up past the horizon as a cool breeze gently flows throughout. For most people, this day is nothing out of the ordinary or special. But for one, today special as they have a chance to fulfill one of their dreams; they are walking towards a racecar. Their heart rate seems to be increasing with each step knowing what they have been waiting for is just a few feet away.
They are about to climb into a car much faster than most cars you may see driving down the street. You can see the excitement only in the person’s eyes as they are wearing a helmet required for protection. This is not going to be a normal drive down the street, this is much more dangerous, where speed is the name of the game, and where normal seat belts would not help in the case of a collision.
The person stands at the car’s side; lightly trembling within, they climb inside. In an unfamiliar car, the seat seems to be inviting as the driver begins collecting the safety harness that will attach them to the seat. Tailoring the harness to their specification, the driver pulls out the excess slack on the harness which straps their body onto the seat; the car and driver are now one.
The ignition sequence differs from car to car, but for this one, a switch is closed to connect the battery to the car’s various circuits; lights that indicate to the driver the vehicle’s status light up on the dash. The fuel pump switch is closed next; the driver hears a high pitch whine from behind as the fuel pump comes to life transferring fuel to the engine.
The driver’s stomach feels tingly like the anticipation one would feel as they are boarding a rollercoaster they have never ridden before. The driver looks towards the switch labeled ‘Starter’ knowing that pushing it is the last step needed to bring the engine to life; the button is pressed.

“It’s just a car,” some people would say, but for some, what is just a car is what defines a car enthusiast’s life. For them, being able to see and learn about certain cars in person is like a child meeting his/her all time favorite hero. Although some car enthusiasts are content watching and/or learning about different cars from a distance, others have the extreme urge to drive them.
Although there seem to be lots of car enthusiasts who have the urge to drive, there are only a select few who can actually take these high-speed machines to their limit, and even fewer who are given the opportunity to do so on a track in a competition. Even if you are one of the lucky few who, either can afford to race or have been given a chance to race, there are even fewer racecar drivers who are female. Even though there are few people who can ever professionally race, one aspect of becoming a racecar driver is mutual; you must first learn how to race.
Collete A. Davis began her journey for competitive racing when she was about 14 years old driving karts. At her first competitive race in Dacono, Colorado, she out drove all the guys as she placed first place and she has not slowed down since then.
Davis graduated Fountain- Fort Carson High School in Colorado at the age of 16 determined to continue pursuing her dream of entering into a professional racing career. February of last year, her grandfather, an Embry-Riddle alumni and retired Army colonel, sparked the idea for her to attend this university.
After deciding that she was interested in Embry-Riddle, Davis began speaking with Elaine Larson, driver of the Embry-Riddle jet dragster, through emails to learn more about the university.
Davis set the date to tour the school, meet with Elaine, and watch professional racing driver, Danica Patrick’s first stock car race in Daytona Beach, to make her final decision about attending.
Beginning Fall 2010 semester, Davis is currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on high-performance vehicles. She believes that by getting the degree she hopes to either obtain a better edge on being a better racecar driver or become a racecar engineer. Regardless, she is determined to end up on the track, “preferably the driver,” she excitingly states. She began speaking with Dr. Charles Reinholtz, Professor and Department Chair for Mechanical and Civil Engineering, about her ambitions to becoming her own manager soon after begging her semester. She searched for ideas and ways to work with the school and how to represent the school, like Elaine Larson, for her to pursue her racing career. Dr. Reinholtz helped her arrange a meeting with Maurie Johnson, the wife of university president, Dr. John P. Johnson, to give Davis a chance to promote her ideas.
After many meetings, lots of work, and discussions, the decision was made for Embry- Riddle to sponsor Davis. As the student ambassador, she now represents the school and seems to keep herself focused on studies and advancing in her dream career. Being sponsored by Embry- Riddle, on February 11-13, in her custom race-suit and helmet sporting the Embry logos, Davis was given the opportunity to race at Sebring International Raceway, Sebring, Florida. She drove a Pro Challenge Mustang, a three-fourths scale version of a normal Ford Mustang, belonging to Ron Stanley for the three days she was there. She would be racing two races on Sunday in a car she had never driven up until Friday.
Being a petite 5 feet and 3 inches tall, weighing about 104 pounds, in a car designed for a full size man, there were some light modifications that she was forced to improvise in order to drive Ron’s racecar. She stated she had about 6 inches of padding in the seat (the seat is bolted to the frame), beneath her, and behind her so that she could reach the pedals. One interesting tool she had to use was a wrench that she stored in the radio pouch, which she used to be able to reach the starter button, so she could turn on the car once she was strapped in.
Additionally to this being her first time driving that specific vehicle, this was her first time to be racing in a sports car of this type with her previous experience being in open wheeled karts and a f2000 car.
Every car is different and simply jumping into a car you have never driven and expecting to make it safely around the track at it’s limit is nearly impossible; with coaching from Ron Stanley and racecar engineer, Larry Bueler, she learned her way around the car. On Friday, she was given the chance to learn the car and how it handled. As she gained confidence in the car’s abilities, Davis’s time around the track became faster and faster.
Saturday was her qualifying run where she would be placing for her two races on the next day. Through out the day, other classes of cars were running on the track until it was her car’s classes turn for their qualifying run. She drove fast but still holding back as she was also continuing to gain more confidence in the car she was driving. Regardless she placed fourteenth place and was ready for the next day’s races.
On Sunday, for her first race, to show respect for the other drivers, Davis started from last place out of about 40 other racers. On a thirty minute race she managed to pass all the racers passing the lead person on the last turn. Being a timed race instead of a set number of laps to accomplish, she had no idea the amount of time that had passed during the race.
When she passed the lead guy on the last lap, on the last corner, she had no idea she had won the race. The second race went just a good only that she started fourteenth, where she had originally qualified, and finished first place in the eight lap race. Although it is still uncertain as to when she will be racing again, the chances for Embry to sponsor her to race again are very high considering her recent performance on the track. She hopes to continue with her passion while attending Embry, gaining a degree and making a name for herself to where someday, she may have a chance to race Danica Patrick.
